Program Overview:
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our Transportation Planning Engineering Progression Program. This role offers a flexible hybrid work model, with a standard 35-hour work week. This program provides a structured career path for engineering professionals, encompassing roles at three key levels: Engineering Intern, Engineer, and Senior Engineer.
The program will involve working on impactful transportation projects that contribute to the planning and development of transportation systems across the region. As part of the program, candidates will receive technical guidance, mentorship, and the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams while contributing to regional transportation policies and planning efforts.

As an Engineering Intern, you will assist in developing and implementing transportation plans for small-scale, less complex projects (e.g., road rehabilitations, traffic noise studies). You will support the maintenance and updates of transportation demand forecasting models and will contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams, including active transportation, rail and transit projects. It is ideal for recent graduates pursuing registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and looking to develop foundational engineering competencies.

As an Engineer, you will develop and implement transportation plans for medium-sized projects (e.g., road widenings, new roads, transit initiatives). You will maintain and update forecasting models. In addition, you will provide technical guidance to interns and manage project components.
Qualifications:
-
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or holding a Limited License with the PEO.

Senior Engineer:
Compensation: $112,330.40 - $140,413.00 annually.
The Senior Engineer role is designed for experienced professionals who lead complex transportation planning projects, including rail and active transportation. You will administer and refine regional forecasting models. You will also mentor junior engineers and manage high-profile projects.
Qualifications:
-
The same licensing requirements as the Engineer role, including a P.Eng. or Limited License with the PEO.
