Summary
Performs complete, accurate and timely case preparation and case management, including requests for additional and final disclosure to the Courts. Supports the flow of information throughout the organization to support investigations, prosecutions, reporting and data analytics.
You Will:
• Prepare and collate Crown Brief packages, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Utilize computer applications for document accuracy and forward packages to the appropriate office.
• Manage administrative workflows related to charge processing within RMS and other systems.
• Enter and scan data into RMS, including legal documents and notices.
• Identify and communicate important dates for release documents.
• Type legal documents and update CPIC entries as necessary.
• Serve as a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits and handle swearing purposes.
• Implement process changes and ensure compliance with retention policies.
• Provide data entry and customer service support.
• Conduct query searches within various police information systems.
You Have:
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in legal, justice administration, healthcare administration, or related fields required.
• Minimum 1 year relevant customer service experience required, interacting with internal members, Crowns office, and external agencies.
• Required to have proficiency in reading, writing, communication, and mathematics, typically through a two-year community college diploma in relevant fields. Education and experience combination may be considered.
You Are:
• Expected to possess strong conflict resolution skills.
• Required to have knowledge of standardized procedures, proficient keyboarding skills, and document organization.
• Expected to be proficient in using Microsoft Office programs.
• Preferred to have previous experience with police and justice information systems.
• Expected to demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of information.
• Required to have strong interpersonal skills and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Expected to maintain productivity and quality under deadline pressure.
• Required to possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Expected to comprehend and apply legislation and procedures.
• Required to have knowledge of the judicial system and related processes for data entry and queries.
